Calorie Shift to Lose Weight? Of Course!

May 24th, 2008 by Alan Tan

If you are struggling to lose weight or know someone who is, you will understand the frustration and disappointment of losing weight, only to gain it back shortly after. Many of the fad diets promises quick weight loss, what they do not tell you is that they come with quick weight gain as well.

The reason this happens is because with many fad diets, you are required to eat so little calories or avoid an entire food group all together. I’m sure you know that you cannot last forever eating such low levels of calories or entirely avoid carbs or fats. A ‘lucky’ few of us will reach our ideal weight and decide to stop the torturing diets, however many are not so lucky and have given up either in sheer frustration or have taken ill from the drastic diet change.

2 Biggest Lies About Weight Loss That Will Make You Fat

May 24th, 2008 by Alan Tan

If you are one of those people, that have tried all the fad diets and miracle pills yet still are unable to lose weight. Have you ever asked this question: “What am I doing wrong?”

The answer to that question, is dieting! Dieting can help you lose weight is a big fat (pun intended) lie!

“Diet is DIE with a T”, Garfield.

There is much truth in that quote. There’s the grim reality for you, the only outcome of dieting will have you meet your maker (sooner or later). What happens when you diet is this, you eat very food, when your body do not get enough food it goes into ’starvation mode’, and when operating in this mode, your body stores fat instead of what you want it to do. That is burn all that fat!

Eat Less? Low Calorie? Low Carb? They DON’T Work, Not For Long at Least

May 24th, 2008 by Alan Tan

You should be familiar with this question from those around you, “Why don’t you eat less?” Yes, I know, it’s frustrating. They do not understand that you are not going to lose weight simply by eating less. If it were that easy, a search on the term “weight loss” will not return tens of millions of results on Google. The common misconception is that to lose weight, you have to eat less calories than you burn. However, this is not true. What actually happens when you eat less or lower your intake of calories or carb, your body goes into starvation mode. Thinking that you are starving, your body conserves whatever intake of calories and carb afraid that it might not get anymore. The result? All these are stored as fats, your body’s energy reserve. It simply uses less and stores more.
